January Comparison: AJ Price vs. GQ Curry

li'l GQ Hot Dog was about the worst "point" guard among all rookies in December. It was pathetic.

Heavy minutes, heavy losses.  Curry can't stay on the floor due to foul trouble and is a significantly negative "defensive" presence.  Nellie Ball!

This January, Curry settling into his chucking one-dimensional role in the league as a future 6th man (maybe) and a minutes uptick for mega-upside sleeper future All Star A.J. Price brings Curry's free pass and shot force-feeding early in the team's games into sharp focus.  Also, Price hasn't missed a free throw yet this month:

Price
19.2 MPG / 11.8 PPG / 4.0 APG / 2.0 RPG / 1.2 TO / 1.2 PF / .478 FG% / .467 3PT%

AST/TO: 3.33
AST/48: 10.00
Indiana Pacers Record: 2-3

Curry
33.5 MPG / 15.8 PPG / 3.8 APG (3.7 last month) / 2.5 RPG / 2.0 TO /
4.0 PF / .591 FG% / .667 3PT%

AST/TO: 1.88
AST/48: 5.4
Golden State Warriors Record: 2-2

A.J. Price: Rookie of the Year Candidate!

  1. you cherry pick stats and move on to new comparisons as your old ones decay... case in point, cj watson. who will be after aj price starts sucking....since when are 46 and 42 bad shooting percentages and relegate a player to shot-chucker status. there is only one real shot chucker on the team, and it ain't curry.

  2. Dear "Anonymous" -

    Thanks for reading.
I don't envy you your lot in life.
Weirdly, reactively, neurotically pimping this team is a thankless task.
