The Golden State Warriors and a Legacy of Suck. Sale Pending.
Just a little clarification CC...Is this "Anti-Curry" campaign, the coddling-spoiled thing, actually a condemnation of Stephen or Nellie or the FO or the fact he isn't Evans or Jennings? Are you really that critical of his ability? He doesn't have to be a ROY or a AllStar to have value.
...meant to add, Curry seems like a symbol for a greater issue you might have?
Curry's been terrible and he's not passing at all lately. Smart kanks him in the second half now, which is exactly what NEllie did to Wright last year but after Wright had helped us play well and get the lead. Curry does the opposuite and it's a relief when he hits the bench. No agenda there, the kid's just not looking first rate so far. His shot could be good but he's got that idiotic Belinelli tendency, where he thinks he's the man and can take any quick dumb 3 while he's moving behind a screen. Curry will have to work on the NBA range to get that shot to work as well as it did at li'l Davidson. No reason it can't, BUT. His game is all about him and his scoring. So yeah, the team can take its double standards and PR games and cash dumps and STFU. They pimped Curry, he ain't winning shit this year, they fail. Other have WAY more upside, so this is effectively a draft screw up. "Value" ain't good enough if you're going to be in the league's bottom five. Curry's best value was as a trade chip before the league got a true glimpse of him. Not sure that value's still there as his pre-emptive fame diminishes.
